The Grand Tour Colombia Special Release Date Revealed!

Before Christmas, we believed that The Grand Tour’s escapades across Colombia were going to be released as a Christmas Special. Unfortunately to our disappointment, it was cancelled. But, even though we’ve had Jeremy Clarkson’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to tide us over until the start of The Grand Tour last week, we’re still eager to see it.

It’s due date is January 25th, the Friday of this week, and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us. Although, we actually have access to a full synopsis. So please stop reading now if you don’t want the episode to be spoiled!

The special will span over two episodes, so therefore make up both episode 2 and 3 of Season 3. Not a surprise, when we find out the trio have been tasked with taking photos for Amazon’s new screen saver. Clarkson sets off in a Jeep Wrangler, Hammond a Chevrolet Silverado, and May in a Fiat Panda 4×4.

During the episode they encounter incredible scenery, levels of danger that you’d only expect from driving through Texas with “NASCAR SUCKS” on the side of your car, and odd hobbies. We’ve even heard that they do actually spot some animals – although we know how bad the Top Gear team was at filming them!

Each presenter goes about fulfilling this task by using different methods to reach success. This is reflected in their choice of vehicle, but also in their usage of the camera. Of course, animals are hard to spot, especially for three ageing men, so they’re drawn further and further into the wilderness.

Also, if you have a soft spot for donkeys, it might not be one to watch…
