The Grand Tour

Richard Hammond Makes First Appearance Since Motorcycle Accident

A few days ago it was reported that Richard Hammond was involved in a second almost deadly accident, this time involving a motorcycle. Thankfully though he has been spotted alive and well giving a talk at Advertising Week Europe 2017.

The 47-year-old father of two, (and our favorite “secret American”), seems to be himself as he adds, “I’ve checked and I’m not dead” as his update for his Drive Tribe page. Hammond also adds,

“It’s true, I did fall off a motorbike whilst filming recently for The Grand Tour in Mozambique. I banged my head, yes, along with pretty much everything else apart from my left thumb, which remains un-bruised. Can’t tell you more yet about the how and why of it; that’s all for later in the year on the show. As for injuries; well put it this way, I don’t think I can get a book out of it.”

Here we have a quick clip of Richard talking about his unfortunate accident. Unfortunately for us, it is a very short clip of what I’m sure is a terrific interview full of Richard being himself and possibly going a bit more on about what happened.

It is quite relieving for all of us fans worldwide to see the Hamster already back on his feet and of course Jeremy is doing a fantastic job on keeping us all up to date with news from the doctor in his recent Tweet.

Our thoughts and hearts are with you Hammond for a continual speedy recovery.
