Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm Vandalism: Men Behind The Destruction Revealed
A couple of days ago, we were sent photos of what looked to be vandalism at Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm, Diddly Squat Farm. In a video on the subject, we questioned whether it was a serious attack on the property, or whether it was something created specifically for the farming show, Clarkson’s Farm, which will be released sometime next year.
The men behind the shocking sights have now been revealed to be And and Dec for their TV show, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. It was a prank pulled on Clarkson for the show which airs on ITV, and has been one of a long line of pranks against celebrities.
It has been revealed that actors acting as protestors were filmed cheering and waving placards around the entrance to the farm shop, shouting: “Soil has feeling, Clarkson doesn’t.”
The local police have also confirmed that they weren’t called out with it being a planned joke for the TV show.
Clarkson arrived at the farm on Tuesday morning alongside his girlfriend Lisa Hogan to confront the protestors who had spray-painted, “Save our Turf, Save the Earth,” over his building. The Grand Tour presenter then watched on as they dumped what’s expected to be three tonnes of soil over his Range Rover using a JCB as a naked protestor ran around the land being chased by policemen.
Clarkson, not knowing that this was a prank, was visibly stressed, walking over to his soil-covered car, picking up a bit of the soil, and throwing it back on the car.
“It was like something out of a Monty Python movie, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” an onlooker told the MailOnline.
“First there was a naked man being chased by a policeman and then this digger appears out of nowhere and dumps all this stuff all over the car. What really shocked me was that Clarkson didn’t say a word, which is not like him at all.
“Normally he has an opinion on everything, but he just stood there silent as all this stuff landed on his car.”
The police also weighed in on why they weren’t attending to the matter seriously.
Thames Valley Police tweeted: “We would like to confirm that this was not a police matter as this was a television film crew filming actors in a protest scene. We were made aware of the filming in advance, and no offences have been committed.”
