Jeremy Clarkson Wins Farming Champion Of The Year Award After Clarkson’s Farm Success

Jeremy Clarkson has seen great success after his new show Clarkson’s Farm was released on Amazon Prime Video. It quickly gained countless praise from viewers and farmers alike, who congratulated Jeremy on being able to share the difficulties behind the farming industry in a fun and entertaining way.

Now, The Grand Tour presenter has won 2021 Farming Champion Of The Year from Farmers Weekly. This is what they posted on their Facebook page:

The 2021 Farming Champion is Jeremy Clarkson.

Jeremy’s passion for agriculture, and tell-it-like-it-is approach about everything from food security to the financial challenges faced by farmers, makes him a hugely deserving winner.

We’re not surprised whatsoever with this outcome, after Clarkson’s Farm became a household favourite as Jeremy battled with the struggling farming industry from the seat of a Lamborghini tractor.

On his journey to building a successful farm, he was helped by Kaleb Cooper, his farming manager, Charlie Ireland, his land agent, and his partner Lisa Hogan. Gerald Cooper also helped by maintaining the area as well as joining in with the farming himself.

A second series of the popular show has now been confirmed by Jeremy himself, and we look forward to watching it sometime next year, 2022.

This is what he had to say after a year’s filming:

“I’ve had the farm since 2008, but I haven’t really been involved with it at all,” Clarkson told press before it was officially released. “A man in the village ran it, and then he retired, and I don’t know what it was, but I just thought ‘I can do that’.

“I genuinely thought you put seeds in the ground, weather happens and then food grows. So I thought ‘that’s not difficult’, but it’s phenomenally difficult and the heartache is extraordinary, plus it’s phenomenally badly paid. So I thought, if I get someone to film me doing it, that will offset some of the losses.”

Congratulations, Clarkson!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]

  1. Clarkson’s farm is the best program on Amazon. Jeremy is thoughtful, entertaining ad brutally honest. I look forward to the next season.

  2. The reward for watching this production was seeing Jeremy get it. Seeing him get the connection with working on the land and having the connection with his partner whilst doing so. Whether it’s the green fields of England or our burnt paddocks here in Australia. You work the land, raise the stock, harvest the crops and it gets under your skin.
