Jeremy Clarkson Tests Negative For Coronavirus After Fighting Virus Over Christmas

The Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson fought the Coronavirus over Christmas, he admitted in a recent column.

“Four days before Christmas, I woke in the night to find my sheets were soggy. And that I had a constant dry cough,” he wrote.

After a quick Google, he took a test which confirmed that he did indeed have the virus: “The doctor was very clear – I’d feel under the weather for between five and 14 days and then I’d either get better or I’d have to go to hospital.

“Because I am 60 and fat, and because I’ve smoked half a million cigarettes and had double pneumonia, I’d probably die, on my own, in a lonely plastic tent.”

Thankfully, he is now free from the Covornavirus after a negative test confirms this which he posted to his Instagram.

“Let’s rock,” he posts alongside the negative test result. While this could mean that he’s ready to leave complete isolation, which is expected upon testing positive for Coronavirus, this could also mean that he’s once again ready to work on the next episode of The Grand Tour, which will take place in Scotland as we reported late last year.

Jeremy Clarkson was spotted alongside presenters Richard Hammond and James May in three classic American cars as they trekked across Scotland to the Hebrides islands. What they’re doing hasn’t been confirmed, but they were spotted towing caravans and modifying their cars for a race on a drag strip.

This episode is likely to drop this year, but with the pandemic still causing issues for production companies, we can only cross our fingers.

“I took myself off to bed with the new Don Winslow book and a bag of kale to wait for the Grim Reaper to pop his head round the door,” he continues.

“I’m not going to lie – it was quite scary.

“With every illness I’ve had, there has always been a sense that medicine and time would eventually ride to the rescue.

“But with COVID-19 you have to lie there, on your own, knowing that medicine is not on its way and that time is your worst enemy.”
