Jeremy Clarkson Posts Subtle Tribute To Ukraine As He Flies Over Russian Border

The Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been filming alongside Richard Hammond and James May for yet another episode of the popular Amazon Prime car show. Their adventures this time took them to Norway, Finland, and other parts of the Arctic Circle, but it was the return trip that got fans of the presenters really interested.

On the way back, their plane crossed over the Russian border, urging Clarkson to post a photo of the moment to Instagram. Fans of the presenter were quick to comment on the photo, asking him and his fellow colleagues to stay safe as they flew so close to the country that only recently invaded Ukraine.

“Over the Russian border this afternoon,” he wrote.

“They need to stop the war so they send Jeremy Clarkson. It’ll be over in days,” one fan wrote.

Other fans pointed out a subtle message hidden in the photo.

“Is that meant to be a Ukrainian flag?” one fan asked, noticing the subtle blue and yellow colouring from an Instagram filter placed on the photo.

“Blue Yellow,” another wrote.

Jeremy has been very open about his thoughts on Russia and Ukraine recently, posting several tributes to the Ukraine people and throwing abuse at the Russian ex-F1 driver Nikita Mazepin.

“Nikita Mazepin. You f*****g r****d. Go and race in Russia on your own. You’d still lose,” Jeremy posted to his Twitter account after a lackluster post from Mazepin about the Russian invasion. He also posted the following to Instagram as he remembered his time in Ukraine during Top Gear.

The Grand Tour presenters look like they’ve now finished filming for the upcoming episode, so we’re expecting the episode to be released at Christmas at the very earliest.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
