Jeremy Clarkson On Clarkson’s Farm Season 2: “Nothing Is Confirmed”

Not long ago a source close to Amazon confirmed that Season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm, the latest show to come from The Grand Tour’s Jeremy Clarkson, is on its way. Becoming one of the most popular shows on Amazon, it wasn’t a surprise that the new fan-favourite was being prepped for its second season, but now Jeremy Clarkson has made us question whether this is true.

A source told The Sun the following: “Jeremy is Amazon’s golden boy and a new series is already in the pipeline.

“It’s rated five stars on Amazon and has a 9.3 rating on IMDB, which is practically unheard of.

“It means Jeremy’s fellow farmers Kaleb, ‘Cheerful’ Charlie and Gerald will all be in front of cameras on the farm again.”

But now Clarkson has taken to Twitter to respond to a fan asking about said second season, and his response is far from good news for fans:

“Not sure where this ‘second series’ stuff is coming from. Nothing is confirmed,” he wrote back to a fan congratulating him on the success of the show.

This will come as sad news to fans who have already binge-watched the farming show and enjoyed the chemistry between Jeremy, Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland, and Gerald Cooper. It’s also worth noting that Clarkson has never been sure about a second season:

And while Diddly Squat Farm hasn’t been a financial success, the success of the series following its building will surely act as a form of income from the farm that Jeremy can take solace in. After all, £146 profit from a year of farming isn’t exactly striking.

On top of this, he was told not to do it by various people. He said the following after being asked about who told him not to:

“Literally everybody!” he said. “Because farming is a vocation. You either need to be born into it or you need to go to agricultural college and learn how to do it. You can’t just say, “I’m going to do farming.” I think John Humphrys tried to do farming – it lasted a year, and by his own admission he hated it, couldn’t do it and it was too difficult – it is phenomenally difficult!”

We hope Season 2 will be on the cards for Amazon Prime Video, and while it would make sense for the financial sense for the streaming service to greenlight a second season, has Clarkson got the time for such things? Only time will tell.
