Jeremy Clarkson Confirms NEW Standalone Farming Show For Amazon Prime

Yep, you read that right! Jeremy Clarkson, the man who can’t fix anything but yet still tries with a hammer as his only weapon, and the man that wouldn’t trade a gorgeous sounding V6 for anything, has left cars behind.

Temporarily, of course.

He has swapped his Grand Tour hat for something a little less glamorous: a farm. Before you fret, no he is not finishing his Grand Tour career. He and his buddies will still return for Season 4 of the car show, but until then, we’re going to be treated to a spot of farming with the ape.

It wil be called I Bought The Farm, and will be aired from September only on Amazon Prime. He told the Sunday Times:

“This is not Kate Humble – much as I like Kate Humble – with 20 acres, bottle-feeding a lamb. Or a TV presenter who grows veg in his back garden. This is actual farming: Life, death and form-filling,” he said.

“We’re not making Countryfile. We’ll be showing it warts and all. For example, I have no view on badger culling in terms of whether it’s necessary, but if it’s happening we will not shy away from putting it in the programme.”

The show will cover the hard reality of being a farmer, from extreme weather conditions to pest control, and let’s not forget the paper work!

“When you till the soil or plough in weeds, it releases carbon into the atmosphere. So you think ‘OK, I won’t plough, I’ll just spray the weeds.’ But that’s bad for the bees,” said Mr Clarkson.

“Every decision you make as a farmer is bad for some reason or another.”

Clarkson became interested in farming but soon discovered the terrible truth. Food will run out due to soil depletion.

“Scientists calculate that we have just 90 years before we run out of food, because of soil depletion,” he said. “That’s just 90 more harvests.”

He has even changed up his diet to reflect his recent health scares and current situations. “I do eat chicken,” he said. “But that’s just a vegetable with a head.”

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]

  1. Man I am really looking forward to this. Especially coming from the man who said he was allergic to manual labor. I think it will be very entertaining.
