James May, despite not knowing how to cook, has been working hard behind the scenes on a cooking show aptly named ‘Oh Cook’. Over seven 30-minute episodes, he’ll be learning as he goes and walking us through a number of recipes which are also included in an accompanying cookbook that is also being released later this month.
The release date for the show has now been revealed to be 13 November and will be found on Amazon Prime Video.
Foodtribe describes the trailer as the following:
It’s a lip-smacking minute-long exposition of May’s patience, culinary ability and, erm, his helper as he sets about finding the best ways to cook some staple dishes. Check it out, and let us know in the comments whether you’ll be tuning in when it releases on 13 November on Amazon Prime Video. #JamesMayOhCook
Alongside this new series, you can buy the accompanying cookbook which will include the recipes of the show, plus a host of other recipes from pub food to brunch. Here’s what Amazon says about the book:
James was one-third of one of the most successful television programmes of all time BBC’s Top Gear and he now co-hosts The Grand Tour on Amazon. He has presented many solo projects on television Toy Stories , BBC2’s six-part series with annual updates, ‘James May’s Man Lab’ which ran for three series, ‘James May’s Cars of the People’ and, most recently, Our Man in Japan on Amazon Prime. Other projects have taken him to the edge of space, forced him to share a caravan with Oz Clarke and seen him attempt to fly with a jetpack on his back. Oh Cook! is James’s first foray into cooking.
Only 34 days until my book of idiots’ recipes comes out. Pre-order to ensure disappointment. pic.twitter.com/uYMh8fQbJm
