It’s pretty cool what a single year can do for a car maker. A little over a year ago, the name “Rimac” didn’t really mean anything to anyone. It was simply another name in a random list of ultra-low volume manufacturers.
One fiery crash in Switzerland later, and Rimac has become a petrolhead household name. I’m sure Rimac had to wade through a mountain of bad press immediately following the Hammond crash, but it seems that the Croation car maker has come out on top in this whole story.
Now the Rimac C_Two has been revealed, and Rimac has made sure that it is Hammond-Proof. In the ultimate bit of trolling, the C_Two has a fire extinguisher in the rear bay with a strap that reads “In case of hillclimb, extinguish fire.”
So what does Hammond think about this good-natured jab?
“I’m delighted. I’ve always wanted to have a real influence in car design. And now I have.”
