What Were Clarkson, Hammond And May Driving In Farnley Tyas?

I’m sure you already know that The Grand Tour trio were spotted a few days ago in Farnley Tyas. In fact, they made quite an impact as they shut down most of the roads and received quite a few complaints from the people of the small Yorkshire village because of this.

Anyway, photos have just come to light showing what the trio were getting up to. And it certainly introduces more questions than it answered…

Yes, that is part car, part boat, with a jet engine strapped to the rear. The car, as far as I can tell, looks to be a Jeep, or maybe a Hilux (actually turned out to be a Suzuki Jimny. Thanks to Oliver Edel!). The rest is a mix match of parts making this a bit of a Frankenstein’s monster.

Not much else is known about what’s happening, but obviously they’re doing some sort of amphibious challenge. If you have any ideas, let me know in the comments below!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps.

He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX.
