Your Chance to Buy The House Jeremy Clarkson Grew Up In

Everyone remembers the house they grew up in. Mine was a tiny little thing with a long sloping driveway. I specifically remember the driveway because I drove my first car on those chipped slabs – at the age of 5. I could just about reach the pedals while my uncle told me which way to steer the wheel because I certainly wasn’t tall enough to look out the windscreen and stall the car with shabby clutch-work at the same time.

Clarkson grew up in a house named Home Farm, from the age of two, situated in the village of Burghwallis, near Doncaster, in the 60s and 70s.

You now have the opportunity to buy this beautiful house for just £565,000! Do you want it?

Alistair Owens bought the house from Clarkson’s family and still remembers what Jeremy’s bedroom looked like. He says:

“It was all black, the carpet, walls, everything, and very difficult to get rid of, to paint over!”

Did Jeremy go through an ’emo’ stage? What I’d pay to see that…

He also adds, “And there was also a bell in his room that was rigged up so they could ring him to tell him dinner was ready or whatever. I suppose it was easier than having to shout up the stairs!”

Clarkson wasn’t the only celebrity to outgrow this house. Paddington bear was brought to life by Clarkson’s mother, Shirley, who made the first one in 1971! What a history!

How much would you pay to own a piece of Clarkson’s childhood? Or would you just want it to go to a loving family where, just maybe, another petrol-head could grow up knowing that his bedroom was once inhabited by one of the greatest journalists of all time.

This guy.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
