Abbie Eaton Will Return In The Grand Tour: Lochdown Alongside Clarkson, Hammond, and May

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown is only a mere five days away, but as we start to get really excited, we thought we’d bring you some news that might just push you over the edge. Abbie Eaton, The Grand Tour’s famous racing driver, is returning in the upcoming episode.

With Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May travelling across Scotland in three American cars, they stop at a track to see how their two-door V8-powered cars will stack up against a Scottish car. Fortunately for the trio, there aren’t many Scottish cars to choose from.

Grand Tour Producer Confirms Location Of Episode Following ‘Lochdown’ After “Facing Some Difficulties”

It’s between the Hillman Imp, a Talbot, a Hillman Avenger, an AC 3000ME, and a Scamp.

“It’s a smorgasbord of excellence, it really is,” Jeremy tells the camera, before choosing the Avenger. “After much head-scratching, we settled on the hot Hillman, and strapped an old friend into the driving seat.”

Abbie Eaton then launches the car into frame as she wrestles the Avenger around the Knockhill race track to perform a timed lap for the trio to beat in their cars.

Jeremy reels off the main stats of the car as they watch Abbie track the car such as its 1.5-litre big valve engine, uprated suspension, and 93 horsepower. “It needs more gears,” James says as Abbie struggles to stay in the powerband on the straight.

Abbie crossed the line with a time of 1:13.98. But how did she stack up against the trio armed with their American coupes? Well, you’ll have to watch to find out. We’re not going to give you all the spoilers here…

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
