The Lamborghini Urus isn’t exactly the most beautiful of cars, and we know perfectly well why Lamborghini produced it: money. They can leave the Urus to back up their quarterly profits while focussing on the good stuff like concept cars and fast track cars. But tuning companies have another idea and are now starting to add stupid widebody kits to the Italian SUV. Here’s one of them.
It’s made by a tuning garage called RDBLA, and according to them, it’s the first widebody Urus in the world. Obviously they’re forgetting the Mansory widebody we saw at this year’s Geneva Show, but we’ll gloss over that.
Unlike the Mansory kit, this design is much more subtle, offering widening arches, two small wings/spoilers at the rear, and 24-inch(!) wheels which will give the car a ride likened to riding on wooden blocks. There are few carbon fibre additions which contrast nicely against the white but, in all honesty, remind me far too much of Need For Speed Underground.
Also at the rear sits a diffusor, which has been extended to of course offer plenty of downforce (not). So yes it’s rather intimidating and offers plenty of aggression from its acute angles and creases, but are we tired of these endless widebodies that only those without taste but too much money are going to buy?
