F1 News: Max Verstappen Goes Fastest in FP3 At Silverstone Grand Prix

Max Verstappen went fastest for Red Bull in the final practice session of the weekend, as the championship leaders rebounded from a difficult day of running on Friday.

The Mercedes duo looked competitive in FP3, setting laptimes that put them amongst the leaders, but Verstappen’s 1:27.901 suggests that Pole Position could be out of reach for the Silver Arrows.

Sainz and Perez seem to be struggling relative to their teammates, so Mercedes might target a top 4 qualifying position later today. Unless rain makes an appearance, the W13 might be lacking the pace to set the fastest lap fo the day.

Further down in the midfield, the fight looks as close as ever, with 7th to 10th all occupied by different teams, as Alpine’s upgrades have failed to give the French squad a definitive edge over their rivals.

Alpha Tauri looked especially vulnerable, with Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda unhappy with the balance of the car and setting generally uncompetitive times.
