F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Knocked Out Of Saudi Arabian Qualifying After Q1

Lewis Hamilton is knocked out of the Saudi Arabian qualifying after Q1 after only managing to get the sixteenth fastest time.

According to the commentators, this is the first time Lewis Hamilton has been knocked out at this stage since the Brazil Grand Prix in 2017.

Comparing to Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes team mate, George Russell, who managed to get the fourth fastest time.

The Mercedes team will be looking into what has happened to Hamilton in his qualifying stint but he will have an even bigger battle on his hands tomorrow starting near the back of the pack, along with the other issues Mercedes have been experiencing.

What’s looking even worse for Mercedes is that all five cars that have been knocked out in Q1 are powered by Mercedes engines.

Lewis Hamilton commented on his performance.

“Just struggled with the balance of the car, it’s not where we want to be.

“We’re professional, we lock out whatever it needs. Just unfortunately we went the wrong way with the set up.”
