F1: First Ferrari Lockout Since 2019 While George Russell Struggles For Mercedes

Charles Leclerc of the Ferrari team has taken another pole position of the season at the 2022 Miami Grand Prix with Carlos Sainz not far behind – a Ferrari lockout, the first since Mexico 2019. Red Bull sits on the next row with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez sitting third and fourth respectively.

The track seemed to lack the grip a lot of these drivers expected, and one kerb at the chicane certainly gave the drivers a hard time but Valtteri Bottas gave us a beautiful run ending in 5th place on the grid. He’s followed closely by Lewis Hamilton – bet Bottas feels great about that – who showed higher performance as expected, especially when his teammate George Russell struggled, exiting the event before Q3.

Top 10 Grid For 2022 Miami Grand Prix:

  1. Leclerc, Ferrari

  3. Verstappen, Red Bull
  4. Perez, Red Bull
  5. Bottas, Alfa Romeo
  6. Hamilton, Mercedes
  7. Gasly, AlphaTauri
  8. Norris, McLaren
  9. Tsunoda, AlphaTauri
  10. Stroll, Aston Martin

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
