F1 Fans React To Red Bull Meltdown In Bahrain

The opening race of the 2022 F1 season had fans on their feet screaming at the TV whether they were cheering on Lewis Hamilton or voicing their anger at the Red Bull cars letting their drivers down after both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez drove so well.

Both Red Bulls had powertrain issues in the last couple of laps of the Bahrain Grand Prix, and after driving so well throughout the whole race, both drivers were forced to retire their cars and finish with no points. This turn of events found Hamilton coming third and George Russell right behind him in fourth place.

The rivalry between Red Bull and Mercedes fans is intense, so I’ve collected some of the greatest reactions to the Red Bull meltdown.

Regardless of what happened with Red Bull, the first race of the 2022 season was insane. We had aggressive, win-hungry lunging from both Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, some of the greatest racing we’ve ever seen from Haas and Kevin Magnussen, and enough pitting to last the year.

If the season carries on like this, we’re here for it.
