Grand Tour Nation is a a group of fans of Top Gear and The Grand Tour fans who are dedicated to cars, travelling, and everything that accompanies these themes. If you love the world of cars and have a serious passion for expressing this love through writing and other forms of digital media, then read on!

Who are we looking for?

We are searching for motivated individuals with great writing skills that have a knack for finding the fun and unique stories of the industry, as well as taking a unique angles on the hot topics of the day. Ideal candidates will not only be passionate about cars and the surrounding industries, but about engaging the digital community on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, and other emerging social media platforms.

Who are you? 
You are the person everyone turns to for information on cars and people wonder why you’re not working in the industry right now. You have an outgoing personality and naturally include people into your tritriversations and social circles.

Compensation
The compensation will be based on the candidate’s skill set and availability, which basically means, we’ll see what you can do well, how well you can learn and then what you can bring to the table to figure out what the compensation should be. Progression will be available to those who are willing to push their beyond what’s expected.

STAFF WRITER – Part-Time work from home

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Finding news on specified subjects such as the latest motoring developments or car TV in a deadline-oriented fashion
  • Assist in the production of editorial calendar ideas that will generate a lot of buzz
  • Using journalistic point-of-view when writing articles

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College-level writing ability.
  • Thorough knowledge of Top Gear, The Grand Tour and cars from a wide variety of brands.
  • A keen scope of the automotive industry as a whole.
  • Basic photo-editing with Photoshop or similar
  • Ability to adapt to the fast-paced work culture of the editorial team
  • WordPress experience is a must.
  • Automotive blogging experience is a plus

  • You know what written English is supposed to look like and you’re also fluent in Gearhead speak. You’re familiar with blogging programs like Blogger or WordPress. 
  • Gearhead/Petrolhead
  • You love all things related to cars and love to share your knowledge with our fast-growing community
  • Professionalism – this means you care about what you say and how you say it, and also find stories to talk about on your own.
  • You’re resourceful, reliable, and proactive.
  • Tech-savvy
  • You’re familiar with social media platforms and can pick up new things quickly (like WordPress).
