Watch A C6 Corvette Roast A Lamborghini Murciélago In A Street Race

There are two things you need to remember if you’re into going fast in a car. You don’t need to spend ridiculous money to go fast, but there will always be something faster than you. That’s exactly what the driver of a Lamborghini Murcielago found out when he faced a C6 Corvette on a road heading towards Abu Dhabi.

The driver of the Italian supercar was quick to express his dominance over the cheap Corvette, but soon realised that he’d picked the wrong car to attempt to race on the road. As the Lamborghini launches itself down into a lower gear and the V10 screams, the C6 launches further, making the Italian supercar look stationary in comparison.

According to the comments on the video, the Corvette has been built by Redline Performance in the UAE, but we can’t find any evidence to confirm this. If this is however true, then you can expect to see a twin-turbo 432ci LSX under the bonnet, producing 1,585hp at the crank. It can consume a quarter mile in just 7.92 seconds with a top speed of 179.8mph. Not too shabby.

Yes building a car like this can be a money pit, but it just goes to show how fast a cheaper car can be when you compare it to something worth more than three times the price. However, you don’t get a Lamborghini badge, or the sound of that shrieking V10 behind your head. But when can we complain about a good ol’ American V8?

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
