Watch A 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Do The First Filmed Donut

Alright kids (at heart), put down your pens and paper and look this way for a second. The new Chevrolet Corvette C8 has been torn to shreds by the hand of an engineer, and we can confirm that it does mad skidz bruv.

The C8 is a tail-happy machine when it needs to be, according to a video by The Straight Pipes YouTube channel, who managed to get a video of an engineer making the most of cold tyres, the car’s rear-wheel drive, and a puddle. Unfortunately, no matter what the video title says, these aren’t the first donuts carried out by a C8, but they’re certainly up there and more than likely the first recorded on camera.

If you want to know how to do this in your new dual-clutch ‘Vette, then here’s the procedure:

With the car stationary and with a foot on the brake pedal, pull back both gear select paddles, and rev the engine. Release the brake and you’ll have two spinning rear wheels. Just make sure you don’t have anything around you when you do this, and only perform it on private land where you have permission – of course.

The review by The Straight Pipes is brilliant, so make sure you check out their full video for the complete lowdown on the new mid-engined American supercar. If you’re short on time, then the donuts happen at around 9:35 into the video.
