Ultra Exclusive Bugatti Chiron Roadster Variant in Works
There have been several exclusive editions of Bugatti’s Chiron since the car’s initial debut in 2016. Most of them are either slightly upgraded in the power department, tuned to reach 300 mph, or to increase handling like the Super Sport 300+ and Pur Sport.
Others have been one-off unbelievably expensive models, which are not only beautiful works of art, but also pushing the boundaries of “the world’s most expensive” list of cars. The $12.5 million La Voiture Noire comes to mind.
One area where Bugatti has yet to expand their Chiron line, has been the roadster class of hypercars. It’s inevitable with these lavish vehicles, that some oil-billionaire will want to drive around with their hair blowing in the breeze at 200+ mph. Fortunately for them, Bugatti seems to have just that in the works.
According to The Supercar Blog, Bugatti has a $9 million topless version of the Chiron coming soon. They seem to be listing it for sale to their favorite customers, but also have been acting as if it is a one-off, like the La Voiture Noire.
It wouldn’t be unusual for Bugatti to try to find a buyer before developing the vehicle. That’s how these limited runs are often sold, with Bugatti reaching out to past buyers before even showing off a design to the public.
If these rumors are true, then the Bugatti Chiron Roadster will be third most expensive car of all time.
