This Off-Roader Lamborghini Gallardo Is Perfect For Jeremy Clarkson’s Next Grand Tour

I had no idea how rich Thailand’s car culture was until I saw this video from CB Media. This shop is home to some of the greatest builds I’ve ever seen, but this build has really caught my eye.

The shop usually deals with supercar Lamborghini replicas such as the Gallardo and Aventador, but this Gallardo build is very different from what we’re used to seeing, and it got me thinking. Could this be the car we need to see in an upcoming episode of The Grand Tour? I think so, especially after all the fame the MFB Bentley Continental GT received after the Madagascar special.

This Gallardo has been modified to drive just about anywhere its lucky driver could fancy thanks to a chassis from a Toyota Hilux – the most invincible car in the world according to Top Gear. The engine comes from a Lexus, which has been mounted at the front of the vehicle, but its bodykit is pure Gallardo.

The front bumper mirrors the famous LP560-4 from 2012 and features headlights built by the shop themselves. And while the bodywork has to fit around a Hilux, they’ve got the shape spot on. Not bad for only $45,000. Jeremy Clarkson could definitely afford that for his Grand Tour travels.

The shop’s usual replicas, costing around $15,000 more, all use Toyota Crown front subframes and custom rear-ends. The powertrain comes down to what the customer wants. Some use Audi V6s while others use turbocharged K-Series units from Honda.

If you don’t fancy a car, they’ll stitch up some custom supercar furniture for you out of Lambo bits and pieces. So if the Grand Tour tent ever returned, they know where to go.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
