Thief Steals Ferraro 488 But Forgets One Important Thing

I’ve never thought about how easy it could be to take a car from a dealership. I know at my local Hyundai dealer they just keep the keys under the desk towards the back. I’m sure however, stealing a Ferrari from a dealership is a little harder than just poking your head around the back of an unguarded and unlocked desk.

Georgia resident Rocky Jimenez was bright enough to steal a Ferrari 488 GTB from a dealership. However, not bright enough to know that they don’t keep fuel in the cars while they’re sat on the showroom floor.

Ferrari 488, worth upwards of a quarter of a million dollars.

Obviously, driving away from the scene of the crime, he swiftly ran out of fuel, so he started asking people on the street for change so he could afford to fill up the car. Unsurprisingly, people thought this was a bit strange so called the police.

Once the police worked out which dealership the car had been stolen from, they arrested the man and found another key for another Ferrari in his back pocket. He obviously had some prior experience!

Moral of the story? Always carry some cash on you. You never know when your stolen Ferrari is going to run out of fuel.
