The Scariest Cop Car You Will Never See On the Road

From the push bumper on the front to the spikes on the wheels, this Nissan GTR police car exudes terror. It would be the last thing I’d want to see in my rear-view mirror, although knowing GTRs, I highly doubt it would be behind me.

Before you ask, no. This isn’t an actual police car. It was made for the New York Auto Show after being commissioned by Nissan, to reflect what it would look like if the police went bad.

On the roof sits the same amount of lights as I hang on my Christmas tree, and swooping from the rear, sits a well stabilised wing. The paint has been wrapped in a menacing matte black colour to match its intimidating stance – all thanks to a set of fully adjustable coilovers.

The red and blue lights continue to the front of the car, with some even embedded in the nostrils on the bonnet and brandishing the push bar you find an LED bar that can be programmed to display what the driver wants. The front bumper also exhibits the number 23. This honours the GTR’s Japanese roots with the numbers two and three being pronounces Ni and San respectively.

On the wheels… Well, I don’t quite know how to describe them, but as you can see from the photos, you wouldn’t want to get anywhere near them.

As far as we know the interior is much the same, albeit with a few switches to turn the sirens and lights on and off. This theme runs through to the engine bay as well, with it being untouched. It’s not like it needs it, anyway.

This cruiser will never make it onto police duty, but if you’re going to the New York Auto Show, be sure to watch your speeds. And I hear those rims can give your ankles a right scratching!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
