Unlike the film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s Batmobile was widely praised. It’s wide and low slung like a supercar, but had the suspension travel and pod-like structure that could allow it to traverse most of what it was flung over. It was only a matter of time until someone was going to build a replica.
And here it is! An incredibly accurate replica of one of the coolest looking Batmobiles to grace DC, and with all of the gadgets from the film – minus the guns. Yeah, it’s for sale.
The build began in the US but was quickly imported to Russia where it was finished by Fast Boom Pro. They fitted bulletproof glass, high performance suspension with a pneumatic lift, and automatic doors. But wait for it, it gets even better…
There’s now a 255x zoom thermal imaging camera, a night vision camera, and the fake turrets over the front wheels hide laser sights. According to the makers, these turrets can ‘simulate’ shooting. I’m not sure what that means, but I doubt there are any projectiles involved.
Inside the car, it’s much more comfortable than you’d expect a war machine to be, with electrically operated leather seats and Alcantara covered trim pieces. There’s USB for when you need to charge your Batarang, and Bluetooth for when you need to blurt out the theme song through the speakers. There’s a joystick too, although I’m unsure if that has any realistic use.
The rear wheels are powered by a 5.0-litre V8 via an auto ‘box, but unfortunately that’s all we know about the powertrain. It’s been estimated to have over 500bhp, though.
Currently listed on Auto.RU for $853,700 USD, it’s quite expensive for a car with questionable road worthiness, but I want it despite this. Alfred! Get my cheque book!
