The Alfa Romeo 4C Re-imagined Looks Incredible

Unfortunately, we’ve just heard that the Alfa Romeo 4C will unlikely be renewed – I’ll be talking about that in a future article. So for now, let’s celebrate the incredible car… even if its driving dynamics did let us down a little.

To keep the spirit of the Italian sports car alive, Italian coach builder Adler Group and Umberto Palermo’s Up Design have put together a concept car of what should have been. It’s called the – wait for it – Alfa Romeo Mole Construction Artisan 001, and gives the rather vanilla 4C a much more aggressive stance.

The front headlights have been replaced and LEDs have been added, and the front arches are stronger and build higher that before. The rear is very similar, too with intimidating lights and more pronounced and angular arches. And as the side air inlets have been shrunk, small louvres on the back glass have been added to aid air flow.

Inside things are largely the same, although the radio has been pulled out and there’s an air of extra-sportiness and an overwhelming racecar feel.

No power figures have been stated, so I assume it’s using the same 1.75-litre unit producing 237 horsepower. Plenty for a good time!

Do you think Alfa should take a leaf out of these guy’s book? Let me know in the comments.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
