The La Ferrari has to be one of the most recognisable cars out there, and alongside that, its V12 purr has to be one of the mot recognisable sounds to emanate from a car. So what happens when you remove the catalytic converters and sound deadeners? Well, watch the video below and you’ll find out for yourself.
The good bits starts at 3:20 if you want to skip the video introduction and Tim, or Shmee150 as YouTube knows him as, talking about the magnificent creation.
The La Ferrari, as you know, has a hybrid powertrain that works similarly to an F1 KERS system. The system works alongside a 6.3-litre V12 which produces 789HP alone With the electric motors working in tandem, the car produces a 950HP and 664 lb⋅ft of torque. The culmination of this is a raspy roar of a sound which propels itself from the rear of the car.
I think you’ll agree that it’s one of the best sounding Ferraris even without the straight pipe.
