Rioters Make Off With Dodge Challengers And Torch Mercedes-Benz Dealership

A Fiat Chrysler dealership in Alameda County, California was looted last night, resulting in the theft of at least a couple of Dodge Challenger Hellcats and a Widebody Charger. The looting was part of the riots going on all over American the past week.

In videos posted to Instagram, onlookers filmed the Dodge vehicles pulling out of the dealership, burning some rubber, and then peeling off into the night. Military-style police vehicles sit idle across the busy boulevard as all of this takes place.

Not too far away from the FCA dealership, a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Oakland was broken into. Instead of stealing the AMGs inside, they were spray painted and smashed up, then lit on fire.

In a series of videos taken of that event, we can see rioters jumping on the vehicles, smashing their windows, and cheering as they are set aflame. The phrase “eat the rich” can been seen spray painted on one of the vehicles.

The dealership posted a video of the cleanup effort this morning, where they stressed that they are “part of the community.”

In the video, one can see a charred ceiling, and shattered glass as the family cleans away the rubble.

It’s unclear at this time if any suspects have been caught, or if the vehicles will be taken apart and sold as pieces.

The Bay area was put under curfew and stay-at-home orders due to “multiple reports of large, mobile groups of rioters and looters traveling throughout the East Bay Area.”
