New Subaru Impreza S209 Prices Revealed And It’s Not Cheap!
The Subaru Impreza S209 will be the first S-badged Impreza to reach across the Atlantic Sea, but with the pricing revealed, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea… or cup of joe (we are talking America after all).
With a price tag of $64,880, it is officially the most expensive production car Subaru has ever made. Just to put that into perspective, that’s $5,000 more than the new C8 Corvette. Anyway, only 209 of these will be built and all will be shipped to the US of A from November this year in drips. The STI shop can only produce 2 or 3 a day.
The previous model of S209 Impreza, the Type RA, cost $49,855 and was the highest performing Impreza you could get at the time with an impressive bump over the standard STI. This new S209 will produce 341bhp due to a larger turbine and compressor, and produces more boost 18.9psi. Alongside this it has a recalibrated SI-Drive system, a new intake duct and a button-activated water spray for the intercooler.
It’s slightly wider to hide a wider track, and is covered with aero-enhancing body features. Add Bilstein dampers at each corner and you’ve got one hell of a car. But at such an alarming price, only hardcore fans of the name with a competent income will be able to even contemplate a purchase.
