Mil-Spec Buffed Up Hummer’s H1 to 1,000 lb-ft of Torque

Get your python ready for a roadtrip, because Mil-Spec Automotive just unveiled their newest tuned Hummer. The beefy H1 gets a new 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel good for 500 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque, which will have you back to the shipping yard in no time.

Mil-Spec has years of experience restoring civilian H1s from 1996-2001, but this newest version kicks it to a whole new lever. They go above and beyond to make these rugged supertrucks the coolest vehicles around.

Mil-Spec let you chose from three body styles of H1, the hardtop, wagon, and slantback. They have a variety of kevlar-infused coatings for the truck’s exterior, that make it seem as rough as a tiger’s tongue, but you’d be crazy if you didn’t pick their new Deep Sky Black coating.

Mated to that powerful turbodiesel, they’ve fit a 30-gallon aluminium fuel cell, and an Allison 1000 six-speed transmission. The transmission also features a protective “limp mode,” in case something goes wrong far from civilization.

Their exhaust system has a proprietary ceramic coating, and a powder-coated tip, as well as water fording built in. There’s also an integrated ARB twin-compressor, in case you need to pump up the Nitto Ridge Grappler 38″ tires, after testing the limits of the independent double A-frame suspension.

There are improved Hydroboost disk brakes, a Hypoid diff., and electronic drivetrain control for switching between two and four-wheel drive. No improvement was overlooked.

All of these components aside, the Mil-Spec H1 also has a very tasteful interior, tailored to the customer, but very masculine. Even the door-lock toggle has knurling that makes it look like soft hands would fear them.

For $269,500, you can get in the door to start customizing your own H1. You just have to bring your own “SNAKE” vanity plate.
