Man Pulled Over On Way To Buy A Lamborghini. The Catch? He Was Five Years Old.

In what amounts to both a terrifying, but also strangely uplifting piece of news, a five-year-old was pulled over in Utah yesterday. When the State Trooper stopped the swerving vehicle, thinking he was an intoxicated driver, they discovered a small boy behind the wheel. How and Why was this child driving? To buy a Lamborghini, at his sister’s house in California, according to him.

The little guy had taken his parent’s SUV, and driven it from their driveway to Interstate-15, which apparently is a five minute drive. There is no telling how many traffic violations he committed on that route, or how he managed not to hurt anybody.

He told officers that his mom wouldn’t let him buy a Lamborghini, so he took his $3 and set off to buy it himself. He didn’t specify which model he intended to purchase, but needless to say…he probably wouldn’t have been approved for financing.

His story is that he left home after an argument with Mom, in which she told him she would not buy him a Lamborghini. He decided he’d take the car and go to California to buy one himself. He might have been short on the purchase amount, as he only had $3 dollars in his wallet.

Many kids fantasize of running away, and while most don’t go through with it, there is something to be said for such a young person even knowing how to operate a vehicle. Hats off to the ingenuity of the little rascal, I’m glad he got home safe.

Of course, the dashcam footage from the cruiser was uploaded to Youtube, and I highly recommend it.
