Legend Has Already Made His Own Cybertruck From A Ford F-150

The Tesla Cybertruck is, what? Beautiful? Ugly? I think the best definition for the all-electric pickup is ‘different’. It’s split opinion in a way no other car has done and that, my friends, is the best kind of advertising there is. It’s a conversation starter. I know two other people close to me who are into cars, but at least ten people have asked me about the weird new entrant into the car market.

It’s become a celebrity in its own right, and what do people do with celebrities? Well, the celebrities start trends, and fans copy. That’s exactly what’s going on here. Using masking tape and cardboard, the owner of a what looks to be Ford F-150 has plated his car to look just like the Cybertruck. It’s the right colour and basically has the same angles of the original, but the combustion engine remains.

Funnily enough, this ingenious feat of design work was photographed from a Tesla shop, so yes, he’s quite possibly taking the p**s. But surely it begs the question as to whether this form of angular design will be adopted by other manufacturers who want to capture some of the Cybertruck’s success.

After all, the Silicone Valley company had taken at least 250,000 $100 deposits for the truck within the first week, and this is surely something that other manufacturers are looking at with dollar signs in their eyes.

Would you be up for more cars taking on the design cues of the Cybertruck? Let us know in the comments.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
