Kevin Hart has spoken publicly about the crash that could have potentially taken his life for the first time in an emotional statement on Instagram.
Almost two months ago, as a passenger in his own ’70s Plymouth Barracuda, he was involved in an incident where the driver Jared S. Black ‘immediately lost control’ of the vehicle, which ‘left the road and rolled over down the northern embankment,’ according to a California Highway Patrol Officer.
Hart suffered from ‘major back injuries’ and has been in a harness and undergoing physical therapy in the following weeks.
Hart says: “After my accident I see things differently, I see life from a whole new perspective.
“My appreciation for life is through the roof. I’m thankful for my family, my friends.
“Don’t take today for granted, because tomorrow’s not promised. More importantly, I’m thankful for God, I’m thankful for life. I’m thankful for simply still being here.”
Several fellow actors replied to the video. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson commented: “Beautifully said. Love u brotha. Onward.”
Bryan Cranston also shared a photo of himself and Kevin on his account saying, “I’ve just heard that @kevinhart4real was injured today in a car accident in Los Angeles. Let’s all send him positive energy and healing thoughts. He’s a good human. Get well soon, brother.”
We wish Kevin the best and a swift and smooth recovery. We also wish the same to the passengers of the car.
