Jason Momoa Joins Fast and Furious Family To Replace Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

The Fast & Furious franchise is preparing for its tenth instalment. Filming for Fast 10 will begin early this year, with a theatrical release set for May 2023. And while Dwayne Johnson isn’t going to be involved in the film due to hostility between him and Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa is now taking his place.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Jason’s inclusion into the Fast Franchise didn’t take long, and now Fast and Furious itself has confirmed his part within the next film, Fast 10.

Currently, we don’t know what character Jason will be taking in the film, but with Dwayne Johnson leaving the films, it’s likely Jason will serve to replace his character Luke Hobbs in some way or another.

Fast and Furious 10 will hit cinema screens on May 19, 2023. John Cena will be returning as Dom Toretto’s brother, as will the usual lineup including Vin Diesel, Sung Kang, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. The film will serve as the franchise’s penultimate film and will be directed by Justin Lin.
