Hennessey Has Made The Dodge Demon Even Faster…

Dodge didn’t just make the fastest Challenger when they created the Demon, they made the fastest car, full stop. So fast that it can pull wheelies straight from the factory and can run a quarter mile in just 9.6 seconds. To the majority of people, that is far too fast. For the minority, that’s fast enough, but to the odd few, that’s still too slow.

This is where John Hennessey enters, takes a Demon for some tuning, and returns with a Demon not bound by the rules of physics. He’s replaced the 2.7-litre supercharger with that of a 4.5-litre unit meaning the car now produces 1,056 horsepower and 967lb ft of torque at the crank. He’s also added stainless steel long tube headers, a heavyweight pulley, a high-flow air induction system, a high performance throttle body, and a better fuel pump and fuel injectors. And to top it off, he binds it all together with a bespoke ECU map.

And just to make this even more unbelievable, it leaves Hennessey’s hands with a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty. Yep, a car which can achieve a quarter-mile time of  9.14 seconds at 152.59 mph has a warranty. I didn’t think I’d ever see the day. But don’t take my word for it, watch the video above. that’s where the real magic happens.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
