With the outbreak of COVID-19, we have seen many businesses close their doors temporarily until social distancing rules are relaxed. This includes many dealerships, but automakers are still very much open and eager to sell you their brand new vehicles – many have resorted to new social distance friendly home delivery options for their customers. So if you’re like me and have developed an excessive online shopping habit to stave off the boredom (but you have more cash), then you may be in luck as one of the world’s largest car manufacturers may have a deal for you.
If you are based in America and in the market for a brand new Ford F-150, Ford has some very generous discounts available to you across the majority of their F-150 models. For the whole month of April, Ford is knocking off thousands from new car sales for the very popular pickup.
As well as this, those of you who are well-qualified drivers can also benefit from Ford’s new ‘Coronavirus Pandemic Relief Program‘ which includes six months of deferred payments on 2020 models. This isn’t the first time Ford has offered similar schemes – even as recently as last year they offered a similar deferral of payments to those affected by the wildfires and hurricanes that struck the country in 2019.
Ford is also offering interest-free financing on all the leftover 2019 F-150 models. Typically monthly savings differs from region to region but Ford has made this available nationwide for the month of April. Here is a breakdown of the current country-wide discounts:
- 2019 F-150 XLT: $5,000 Discount
- 2020 F-150 XLT: $3,750 Discount
- 2019 F-150 XL: $3,500 Discount
- 2019 F-150 Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited: $2,250 Discount
- 0% APR for 84 months with deferred payments for 3 months available for well-qualified drivers
Now for the bad news Sadly, the F-150 Raptor and the 3.0 litre Powerstroke Diesel models are unavailable in this deal… yes, we’re as sad as you are.
It is worth mentioning that it’s likely these aren’t the only deals being offered by Ford. If your local dealership is still open, it could be offering further discounts so it is important to shop around for the best deal. Who knows you might finally get that discount on the F-150 Raptor!
In other news, the 14th generation of the F-150 which was slated for debut on April 29th has been sadly delayed. While Ford is yet to confirm a new date, it is expected that it will most likely be at some point this summer.
The nationwide F-150 deal ends on 30th April.
