Only a day after LEGO reveals its partnership with Top Gear, the company has released two brilliant kits that would not only be perfect Christmas presents, but perfect for the people like me who haven’t quite grown up enough to not want a Ferrari F8 Tributo and Audi Sport Quattro S1 on their office desk.
These two cars is LEGO’s latest addition to its LEGO Speed Champions line which consists of budget models. These two sets will be sold from the 1st January 2020 and retail for £19.99. They’re 25% larger than earlier models in the line with 275 pieces for the Ferrari and 250 for the Audi. This larger size allows for more detail to be seen on the models.
The Ferrari measures in at 150 mm long, 80 mm wide, and 40 mm tall, just the right size for a mini figure to sit in the driver’s seat.
The Group B Audi not only looks better due to the angular way LEGO takes shape, but the model comes with plenty of stickers for the white and yellow colour scheme. Plus, the driver gets a special Audi racing suit. Fancy.
I’m definitely going to be taking a closer look, and may have to buy both to book-end the endless paper on my desk. Yeah, I’m a kid. Don’t tell me you don’t want it, too!
