Ferrari: A Movie On Enzo Ferrari Has Been Confirmed

Enzo Ferrari is certainly one of the most interesting people within the car motoring industry. He was competitive, ruthless, and troublesome. And now, because he and his company have such a rich history, a movie celebrating his life is been confirmed. Directed by Michael Mann, ‘Ferrari‘ will explore his life with a rich cast of celebrity names.

Movie studio STXfilms said the following:

“Fire up your engines. We’re excited to announce FERRARI directed by the legendary Michael Mann starring Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz and Shailene Woodley.

“The Enzo Ferrari biopic begins principal photography in Italy this Spring.”

That’s one hell of a roll call with Oscar nominee Adam Driver and Emmy nominee Shailene Woodley taking centre stage alongside Penelope Cruz and Mann.

According to Deadline, the film will be set in 1957 and will cover Ferrari “in crisis” as he takes the competition to Italy’s Mille Miglia. This 1,000-mile race was won by Ferrari, but it was not without heartbreak.

Enzo Ferrari featured heavily in Ford vs Ferrari, but Mann has a strong history with Ferrari with him being open about his passion for the marque. He even worked with Ferrari to produce a teaser trailer for the Ferrari California in 2008.

With such a passion, we’re sure Mann will produce something very special, so we’re very excited to see what he produces.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
