Could This Aston Martin Station Wagon Render Be The Future Of The Cygnet?

Following on from our recent piece covering the BMW i8 Station Wagon render, we come to you with an all-new Aston Martin design – which much like the i8 we featured, looks absolutely great – thanks to the extremely talented Rain Prisk. These will always divide opinions but here at Grand Tour Nation, we’re loving these station wagon remixes of high-end sports cars.

Although something like this is very unlikely to reach the production line, this wouldn’t be the first time Aston Martin has produced a smaller and more compact model – with their mini Cygnet being produced between 2011 and 2013. Personally, and we’re sure that most would agree, Rain Prisk’s render is gorgeous in comparison to the real world Cygnet which looks more like a Smart Car with a rocket under the hood.

We’re having to use our imagination here, but we’d like to assume the mini Aston would feature a similar engine under the hood as the current Vantage. With an absolute beast of a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine – producing a huge 503 bhp, taking the Vantage from 0-60mph in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 195mph.

To any Aston Martin execs who may be reading, we’d love to see this as a real-world vehicle and hope to see something like the mini Aston hit the production line in the coming years – maybe after the current trend of supercar SUV’s has run its course, such as the new Aston DBX pictured below.
