Ares Design Builds Gorgeous Retro inspired Ferrari Four-Seater

We’re spoilt for choice these days with the number of very pretty cars on the market right now. One type of car we’re short on though is the four-seater supercar. None of them are that pretty, so it’s only right that Ares Design should build one for us to fall in love with. And they have.

Ares Design is a coachbuilder which has transformed cars such as the Huracan and AMG G-Wagen – they have certainly earned their stripes. But this new design, based on Ferrari’s GTC4 Lusso has topped our expectations with ideas taken from the 412 and its kin, with the final design being dubbed ‘Project Pony’.

It mixes modern design with twists of the classic era –  yes, that does include pop-up headlights – and underneath sits an unaltered GTC4 Lusso powertrain. Why fix what’s already perfect, after all. This of course means that it boasts a more than respectable 680bhp and 514lb ft of torque, good for 208mph and 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds. This model may possibly be even faster however, as Ares has replaced each body panel with that of carbon fibre. Not bad, eh?

Ares has put their print on the interior, as well. As you can see from the photos, the owner will be able to indulge in fine stitching and comfortable soft leather. The owner will also be able to revel in the fact that their car will be of limited numbers and priced above  €650,000, more than twice the price of the GTC4 Lusso. I have to admit: If I could, I would.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
