A One Off, $18 Million Bugatti Will Be Revealed At The Geneva Show

It’s mad isn’t it? Some car manufacturers can release a car, whatever the price, and it will be sold out in a matter of weeks to incredibly rich princes and CEOs. Bugatti is one of these companies, so of course, they’re going to make the most of it.

At the 2019 Geneva Show, Bugatti are revealing a new, one-off car, which they’ve given a price tag of $18 million. But this isn’t just any car from Bugatti, and it certainly isn’t going to be bought by just anyone with the cash. This new Bugatti will be given to Dr. Ferdinand Piëch, former chairman of the VW Group.

At the same time, the company is celebrating its 110th anniversary, so will be releasing the Chiron Sport “110 ans Bugatti” –  a Chiron featuring a carbon fibre exterior finished in exposed Steel Blue carbon. These 20 units that they’ll be producing are very special, but this begs the question of what a Bugatti worth almost $20 million will be.

– The Bugatti Divo

I would think this unnamed one-off will be something similar to the Divo that was teased last year. It’s a sportier, more track orientated version of the Chiron, with more focus on aerodynamics and mechanical grip than all-out speed and luxury. Whatever the outcome of this, I’m very excited to be a witness of Bugatti’s next steps in their niche market. With the company now turning their back on the top speed record, only time will tell where they tread next.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
