2021 Toyota Camry Undergoes Facelift Inside And Out With New Technology And Infotainment
The new Toyota Camry has been released with it being given an exterior update and some subtle changes inside.
The front bumper has been redesigned with the front grille now running the full length between the headlights and a wider bottom grille to match. This new design makes the front of the car look wider, and the bars that have been implemented into the grille design can now be specced in black or grey to contrast nicely with the chrome strips that highlight the added muscular shaping.
On top of this, new wheels have been added to the options this. 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels are available with a new Deep Metal grey finish, and different coloured rear lights can be specced if that’s up your alley.
Inside, a new floating 9-inch display sits up top and higher than before. And fortunately, manual switches still adorn the dashboard below it for ease-of-use while driving. the infotainment software has undergone an update and is now much faster than previously with a better response from the touch screen, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both come as standard. Phew.
European customers of the 2021 Camry Hybrid will be able to choose from two premium leather options: beige and black, while the leather upholstery is patterned with Herringbone that enables seat ventilation to be installed. Without this option, a black leather-esque seat is available with fabric inserts, and the dashboard can be made to match with either the option of Black Engineered Wood, or Titanium Line accents being available.
In regards to safety, Toyota has installed the latest version of the marque’s Safety Sense technology, which adds a new Pre-Collision System that features daytime front-to-front oncoming vehicle detection, Emergency Steering Assist and Intersection Turn Assistance. And to make life easier, the car features Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control that is even more intelligent thanks to Road Sign Assist and sensors that track lanes of the road.
No changes have been made to the car’s powertrain, which consists of a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. Combined, it creates 215 horsepower and a combined MPG rating of 53 mpg.
