2020 C8 Corvette Widebody Rendering Takes Styling To A Whole New Level

The C8 has forever changed the Corvette architecture. With its mid-engined layout, there’s no way Chevrolet will look back at the front-engined C7 and want it back. You simply can’t squeeze any more performance from it, so following Ferrari, McLaren, and Lamborghini in the way of the supercar was the only move forward.

But now it’s fighting in a whole new ring, and while its performance and price point is more than good enough to battle it out with Italy’s finest, does it look up to par? I believe so, but HugoSilva Designs has gone one step further with a whole new widebody kit rendering. It’s aggressive, it’s busy, let’s take a closer look.

The three rendered images show a lower and wider stanced C8 in a gorgeous grey. The wheels are larger, and the low profile tyres sit mere millimetres away from the thick arches. The front bumper boasts more aggression with angular hits and a low splitter below the a horizontal run of DRLs. A host of vents are impregnated into the design to improve cooling for the brakes, and the side intakes look larger over the original car.

At the rear stands a large wing to improve downforce and below that a renewed fascia houses four exhaust exits. Down the sides run carbon fibre sideskirts that sit just touching the ground.

As soon as the C8 starts populating roads, we’re going to see an influx of bodykits from aftermarket stores, as well as a number of tuning products. Hennessey has already promised us its own go at tuning the already potent Corvette, and we’re very excited to see what else crawls out from within the woodwork.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
