Hammond and May will Make Lego and A Bottle of ‘Not Vodka’ a Thing

Most motoring enthusiasts enjoy putting together a mini Lego version of their own car, or even better, their dream car, because the real thing is far too expensive. And if you’re here, then you obviously enjoy watching the boys making fools of themselves on their new show, The Grand Tour.

If you fit the above criteria, then you are going to love this.

James and Richard sat down in front of a live camera, streaming to the FaceBook account for DriveTribe yesterday with a box of Lego bricks and instructions on how to build a go-kart. There’s a catch, though. These were proper go-karts. Engine mounts and all. And they had twenty minutes to assemble them while a ‘skinny wretch in a free T-shirt’ bombarded them with motoring related questions.

But wait for it. It gets better.

Each time one of them got a question wrong, they must have a shot of ‘definitely not vodka’, and of course, after some time – much longer than the initial twenty minutes – they are worn down by the side effects of said ‘definitely not vodka’.

I’m not going to ruin the fun for you, so there’s really one thing you need to do. Watch the livestream!

One thing I will tell you, though – As usual with these fellas, hilarity ensues.

Let us know here at Grand Tour Nation what you thought, and what you’d like to see the boys do next time. Maybe we could throw a couple of ideas their way!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
