Top Gear’s Chris Harris Involved In Porsche 911 GT3 Crash

Top Gear’s very own Chris Harris has ‘done a Hammond’ in Wales while working on a feature for Top Gear Magazine. Yes, he crashed his own Porsche 911 GT3 Touring on the A466 in Monmouthshire, Wales, and was thankfully uninjured.

According to his Twitter and Instagram accounts, he was driving around a corner when a pick-up making a three-point turn appeared blocking the road. He and his passenger, a senior executive from Top Gear Magazine, were in the car but were both uninjured. The same cannot be said about the car which may be written-off, but further information hasn’t been confirmed.

“Police confirmed speed wasn’t a factor,” he said on Twitter, adding, “And I wasn’t the one issued a penalty notice.”

Chris Harris will return to Top Gear, next Series with Matt LeBlanc and Rory Reid, but the Series following that alongside new presenters Andrew Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness. Plenty of you had something to say about that when it was reported.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
