Top Gear Engine Table is Now Available

For as long as I have been watching Top Gear, I can recall always wanting one of those engine tables. My wife, of course, thinks it’s a monstrosity and would never allow it, and since I moved to a new house with no more man cave, it appears my dream will never be realized. But that shouldn’t stop me from helping all of you realize your dreams of having your very own engine table.

Fifteen year old Cillian Scott from Co Wicklow can make one for you. So far, Cillian has made only 10 of these tables, but he has every intention of turning this into a viable enterprise. Mr. Scott takes unused engines from vehicles that he finds in garages in Dublin, Cork, and Northern Ireland. His creations have even landed him a spot on The Late Late Show With Ryan Tubridy!

Orders are now flooding in for young Mr. Scott’s tables: “Hundreds of people like my Facebook pages and I’ve lots of sources.”

Interesting side note, though. For those who think that his tables are inspired by Top Gear’s V12 table, think again. “I have never watched Top Gear. I’m not a fan of the show…I was just looking on YouTube and I saw an engine being turned into a table – and I thought ‘I can do that’.”

I can’t tell you how many times I saw something on TV and thought that I could do that, only to never follow through with it. Nice to see someone so young with this “can do” attitude. Check out Cillian Scott’s Facebook page and website for more info! And a thank you to Independent.IE for the heads up!
