The Grand Tour Hosts Return to Yorkshire: Where it All Began

This morning, The Grand Tour officially announced the next shoot for their, well, grand tour and the location could not be anymore perfect.

Some of you may remember that is where Jeremy Clarkson famously punched producer, Oisin Tymon, in the face which sparked the sudden exit of not just Clarkson, but his co-hosts, Richard Hammond and James May.

Fast forward about 18 months and Clarkson is getting paid almost ten times what he was getting paid by the BBC, they have a brand new show without the restrictions of an overbearing network and they get to create shows that were only left for the “wildest dreams of Top Gear” to imagine.

Now, the return to the UK is not just a return to their homeland, but a return to the birth of their new beginning.

“We were blown away by the customer demand for tickets to our studio tent recordings in Johannesburg and California and today we are excited to announce that the guys are coming home!”  said Jay Marine, VP of Amazon Video Europe. “Our first UK stop on The Grand Tour will be the historic North Yorkshire town of Whitby, so we invite fans to get in early to join Jeremy, Richard and James for thrills, spills and fish and chips by the seaside.” – The Grand Tour Press Release
