The Grand Tour-Season 2, Episode 4 Goes Completely Unscripted

I know it might come as a shock to hear this, but there are still people out there that seem to believe The Grand Tour (and Top Gear) are completely unscripted and get completely offended when they notice a segment that is “obviously scripted.” Silly, right?

Coming up in episode 4, these folks will get their wish and see what an actual unscripted episode looks like. Episode 4 will see the boys travel to Croatia, where everything from beginning to end will be unplanned. The entire episode will have no pre-arranged locations, no stunts that have been previously set-up, and no planned incidents.

This lack of planning ends up resulting in what appears to be a hilarious situation as the boys all show up in three completely unrelated cars to do…something. Jeremy shows up in an Audi TT RS, Richard in an Ariel Nomad, and James in a Lada which he converted to a fire engine. What they plan to do with these three completely unrelated cars is anyone’s guess.

Also in the episode, Richard takes the new McLaren 720S around the Eboldrome, and Alfie Boe goes head to head with Michael Ball in Celebrity Face-Off to find out who is the world’s fastest classical singer with an interesting connection to the British motor industry.

When he's not spending his time writing tech reviews for theslanted.com, Tony puts his lifetime love of muscle cars to use on his 2015 Mustang GT. Tony's top three favorite cars are the 1973 Mustang Mach 1, Ferrari 458, and Aston Martin DBS.
