The Grand Tour Intro Sequence We All deserve

There’s only ever been one song that makes me truly nostalgic these days. It’s a song that carries me back to when I used to turn on the TV on a Saturday night, draw the curtains, and sit back to watch Clarkson, Hammond and May’s silhouettes flash in front of clips of smoking tyres and drifting cars. The song’s name was ‘Jessica’.

This incredible intro was lost when the trio started The Grand Tour, and although it has a recognisable anthem and some cool video footage, it doesn’t quite live up to the original Top Gear opening. That’s my opinion anyway.

To those who feel the same way, we’re in luck, because some some amazing person has just edited together clips of The Grand Tour in the style of the beginning of Top Gear. The first time I watched this is was a truly nostalgic moment. If only they could have kept that style when moving to Amazon.

How would you compare the clip above to the opening sequence of The Grand Tour? Let me know your opinions in the comments below!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps.

He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX.
